3x3 Festival at the NDSM wharf: bar units with LED screen and backstage

For the 3x3 Festival at the iconic NDSM wharf in Amsterdam, WeFoldIt delivered a complete set of foldable units. We combined functional backstage spaces with a striking, double-deck bar structure in the middle of the festival grounds.

What did we build? Various backstage spaces for production and crew, two bar units set up as a public bar on the ground floor, and a double-deck structure with decks on which a large LED screen was placed that showed live footage of the matches.

The combination of a bar at eye level and a large screen above it created a true central point on the grounds: visitors could grab a drink and follow the action on the field from one recognisable spot.

The benefits at a glance: fast assembly, as the foldable units are quickly set up on site, ideal for a tight festival programme. Efficient transport, because the units fold together so up to 10 fit on one truck. Load capacity and flexibility, as the decks lend themselves to additional structures such as a large LED screen. And a strong appearance, because the units can be branded and fitted with signing to match the event and its sponsors.

From backstage to eye-catcher: this project shows how versatile the units are for a large outdoor event.
